The Skeffington Arms Hotel is located in Eyre Square in vibrant Galway City.

The hotel overlooks the newly renovated Eyre Square in the heart of Galway City Centre. The Galway City train and bus depot's are just a five minute walk from the hotel. Our enviable location means the main shop street, bars and restaurants are a short stroll away. Galway City is available at the front door of the Skeff!! : A city centre hotel with a lively mix of entertainment. Quietness is not guaranteed as we are a city centre hotel. Our hotel is located on a pedestrian street we do have two drop off zones at either the top or bottom of our street.

Parking

When parking for 24 hours a 50% reduction to hotel guests is available with our hotel stamp in Q Park Multi Storey car park (€10.00 for 24hrs). which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Located in Eyre Square Shopping Centre on Merchants Road. For maps and other information, please click here.

Directions

  • Follow M6 motorway to Galway.
  • Follow route into city (signs for Galway City East& Docks) passing Galway Crystal and GMIT.
  • At the ‘Huntsman Inn’ roundabout turn left.
  • Continue along College Road as it becomes Forster Street.
  • Continue straight onto Eyre Square our hotel is located on the pedestrianised side of Eyre Square
Follow the N18 through Kilcolgan and Clarinbridge.
At roundabout (junction with N6): take 2nd exit onto N6.
Continue on N6 (signposted Galway) until you reach the ‘Huntsman Inn’ roundabout and turn left.
Following College Road you will pass the Connacht sports ground (on your right), road becomes Forster Street.
Continue straight onto Eyre Square our hotel is located on the pedestrianised side of Eyre Square
Enter Galway city on the N17 from Claregalway
Continue straight along the N17 into Galway (becomes Tuam Road, Bohermore) to Prospect Hill
Following signs for station, turn left onto Bóthar Bhreandain Uí Eithir
Take first right onto Forster Street
Continue straight onto Eyre Square our hotel is located on the pedestrianised side of Eyre Square
