Aran Islands

Admire the rugged landscape

The Aran Islands are a group of three islands located at the mouth of Galway Bay, on the west coast of Ireland. They constitute the barony of Aran in County Galway, Ireland.

From west to east the islands are: Inishmore, the largest; Inishmaan, the second-largest; and Inisheer, the smallest.

The 1,200 inhabitants primarily speak Irish, the language used in local placenames. Most islanders are also fluent in English.

Here are some package deals to the Aran Islands that you might want to consider.

Shuttle Bus from Galway City with Aran Island Ferries
Many of the Aran Island Ferries sailings have a connecting shuttle bus that departs from Queens St in the City Centre. Sailings that are marked with XB in the booking system do not have a connecting shuttle bus and you must make your own transport arrangements to and from these sailings.
When using the shuttle bus please check in with our office at 37-39 Foster Street or 19 Eyre Square (beside the entrance to the Eyre Square Shopping Centre) 1½ hours prior to sailing time.

Prices for the shuttle bus service can be found on the timetable pages for Inis Mór and Inis Méain / Inis Oírr.
