Leisureland, Salthill
Looking for family activities in Galway to keep everyone happy? Then Leisureland in Salthill is the perfect choice. Salthill Beach Galway
Galway City as an attractive destination is enhanced by its proximity to fantastic beaches. The beach at Salthill is a Galway attraction that cannot be missed. The beach is actually several small beaches separated by outcrops. Some of the beaches are sandy and some pebbly. The beach is lifeguarded from mid-May to end of September and there are plenty of leisure activities and things to do nearby.
Ladies beach is located across from the Galway Bay Hotel and is sandy and has shallow water for the younger kids to paddle in. From here, there are spectacular views across Galway Bay. Further down the beach at Blackrock there is pier with many diving platforms all at different levels. The top level is certainly not for the faint hearted and for those who don't want to give it a try you can still have hours of fun watching fearless kids taking the big plunge.

There are plenty of beaches and playgrounds, and of course the annual Galway Races Festival and lots of other festivals and events for all the family to enjoy.

Turoe Pet Farm Loughrea
Turoe Farm offers many opportunities for people to enjoy a fun-filled day out. No matter what the weather conditions are, there is always something to do!Turoe Farm is fast becoming one of the most interesting and most loved Galway attractions to visit and is also home to the world famous 2,000 year old Turoe Stone. Atlantaquaria is a very popluar Galway attraction and is Ireland's National Aquarium, home to the country's largest display of marine and fresh water life. The aquarium is located on the Seafront Promenade of Salthill, overlooking Galway Bay and attracts thousands of visitors every year . Galway Atlantaquaria is focused on the display of indigenous Irish fish and invertebrates. Spanning two floors the aquarium is home to over 150 different species of marine and freshwater life. Talks are held throughout the day during summer on a variety of topics including Fin Whale, Touch Pool, Fresh water Fish Feeding etc. As Ireland's largest aquarium, staff strive to ensure that a visit to the aquarium is original and full of wonder for visitors of all ages.
